Hello lacqueristas! I've got a quick post today of a mani I did a couple weeks ago. o.O

Bacon mints! Om nom nom! They really do taste like bacon!
Don't kill me Redditors - but who really wants their breath to smell like bacon all the time?
Blasphemy, I know.

Nail Polish Breakdown:
1 coat Orly Bonder rubberized basecoat
2 coats Revlon - Saucy
3 coats Nabi Magnetic - Cappucino (ring finger)
1 coat Poshe fast-drying topcoat

Unfortunately, something was wrong with either the Nabi magnet or the polish because it didn't do what it was supposed to AT ALL. Magnetic polish FAIL. I'm going to eventually try it again with my Sally Hansen magnet, because I've heard that the Nabi ones can be weaksauce. Nabi - Cappucino did have a very pretty color overall, a nice copper with a good bit of gold shimmer. It would have been fine with two coats, but I tried a third when the magnet didn't work on the second coat.

Revlon - Saucy was exactly like the name implies - very saucy! It is a wonderful red packed with shimmer. I couldn't stop staring at Saucy when I was in the sun; it just lights up!

Sparkly Cappucino!

And look at that sparkle in Saucy! Yum!

I hope you enjoyed these two lovely colors, even though the magnetic aspect of Cappucino didn't want to cooperate! Don't crisp up like a piece of bacon outside on this hot summer day!

Influenster Summer Beauty VoxBox

Hey guys! I've got my Influenster Summer Beauty VoxBox to show you!!! I'm not going to be doing an in-depth review right now, but I will update this post as I continue trying these out!

Sadly, I don't have any pictures of Icarus investigating my box today - he sure was interested when I opened it though!

Product details!

The Sally Hansen products I received! These were what I was most excited about with this box. The color of the magnetic polish is Red-y Response, and I am in love with it! I'll have a post up soon with it!

Yay shampoo and conditioner samples! I love treating my hair!

And more sunscreen? Perfect for summer!

Lady products - teehee! Not gonna go into detail on these, but if you want to hear more about Shark Week, just visit TrollXChromosomes on Reddit! Funny stuff!

And the pretty bag it came with!

Banana Nut Bread bars from Quaker! This was soooo tasty - banana nut bread is one of my favorites!

I hope you enjoyed looking at the goodies! I love receiving these samples to review!

Disclaimer: I received each of these products complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster and these are my 100% honest reviews.

Sinful Colors Copyright Infringement of Nail Blogger Pictures

The newest polish display in Walgreens from Sinful Colors features a pamphlet with pictures stolen from the popular nail bloggers Swatchaholic and Swatch and Learn. I know that this theft will not be tolerated in the nail blogging community, and I am glad that I didn't pick up any of their polishes since this week's 99 cent sale at Walgreens. I hope that Sinful Colors will do the right thing and apologize and get rid of the pamphlets and displays.

If you would like to petition Sinful Colors to remove the displays and publicly apologize:

Revlon posted this on the Sinful Colors Facebook page:

Dear SinfulColors fans --- We are aware of the issue regarding SinfulColors imagery and are taking steps to resolve this unacceptable error. We deeply respect the rights of our blogger friends and are taking the following measures:

1. We have reached out to the bloggers, Jeanette and Mary, to apologize and quickly resolve the issue.
2. We are correcting any materials featuring the bloggers’ images as soon as possible.
3. We are putting additional measures in place to prevent this from happening again.

Please accept our heartfelt apology and know that we are doing everything we can to make things right.

I'm glad that Revlon has acknowledged the mistakes that Sinful Colors made, and I hope that they can fully make reparations for those mistakes. I hate to see things like this happen, but it looks like they are moving in the right direction.

Revlon Whimsical!!!

Okay, so I promised you all more additions to my last manicure, and here it is! If anyone caught the glimpse of Revlon - Whimsical in my recent post about displays at Rite Aid, you win! The prize is... this!

Whimsical is a milky blue base with blue and pink hexagonal glitter and small blue glitter.

Look at all that swimming glitter!

When I got Whimsical, I thought it would be great to add to this mani and make it look even more fun! This is two coats of Whimsical and it could've used more, but I'm happy with it. :) It did tone down the color of the other polishes, but I wanted that to happen to tone down the mani for work.

I've also got to thank The Crumpet for doing "Recycled Nails" that inspired me to push this mani so far and keep adding to it. Let's see, at this point, if you include the dots and tips as one coat of polish, then this is a total of 11 coats of polish. Jeez! It was also super thick and difficult to take off, but it got me 9 days of wear.

Nail Polish Breakdown:
1 coat Orly Bonder rubberized basecoat
4 coats Sinful Colors - Social Ladder
1 coat Poshe fast-drying topcoat
dots in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Blue Me Away!, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Lightening and Borghese - Raspberry Sorbetto
tips in Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Blue Me Away!
1 coat Poshe fast-drying topcoat
2 coats Revlon - Whimsical
1 coat Poshe fast-drying topcoat

Fun, fun, fun! I hope you enjoyed looking at Whimsical as much as I enjoyed wearing it!

In Stores: Rite Aid Nail Polish Displays (Warning - Very Picture Heavy)

I think this was my first time stopping in this Rite Aid in Greenwood, and I'm really glad I did! Look at all the displays! I don't think I've seen more than 6 displays in one drug store before, but this one had a ton! I hadn't seen Color Club or in stores before, so I'm glad I just happened to stop at this one! (It just happens to be on an intersection with a Walgreens AND a CVS. Talk about competition.)

LA Girl Fruity

LA Girl Disco Brites

Scented Nail Color

Color Phase

Wet n Wild Bejeweled
I'm going to have to stop by again soon to grab one or two of these;
this was actually the first time I'd seen this display in person.

Sally Hansen Limited Edition Insta Dri

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Avril Lavigne Collection

Magnetique magnetic polishes Electric Brights (Sorry about the blurriness.)

Revlon core display
Do you see what I see? Hint: It is a very sought-after polish that will feature in my next mani post.

Essie Mirror Metallics

Essie Bikini So Teeny

Color Club Take Wing

Color Club Blossoming

Revlon Scented Treats

Revlon French Mix

Wet n Wild cracklecraze Neon Crackle

Happy Birthday to Me! Birthday Cake Mani

Sooooo, July 2nd was my birthday - I am now a 23 year old nail polish fanatic! I knew for a while that I wanted to do nails based on funfetti cake, because that became a little family tradition for my birthday and I always asked for it. So when my roommate Andrew offered to bake me a cake, of course I asked for funfetti!

Dots - I mean funfetti - GALORE!!!

This mani was done on top of Sinful Colors - Social Ladder that I showed you here. Unfortunately my topcoat dragged some of the color. :/

Here's the cake Andrew made me! NOMS! The choices for icing were vanilla, chocolate, pink vanilla, and blue vanilla. BLUE FTW!!!

When I was showing these to William, Wonderbread popped into my head. It does kind of remind me of it! :D

Another thing I thought was funny was that as I was going through my Nail Blogs feed on my Google Reader, I saw a post from Fingers Polish Mania with nails that are pretty similar to mine! I already had this mani planned out before I saw her post, but I think it's crazy that we did pretty similar manis without even meaning to!

And this was all possible because William got me a nail art set for my birthday! Thanks Will! XD

I'm glad Social Ladder held up for six days and that I didn't try this mani before he surprised me with the set. It has 15 nail art brushes and 5 double-sided dotting tools. I can't wait to try the brushes out too!

The two missing tools are the dotting tools I used for this mani. But just think of all the possibilities!

Om nom bottle shots! For the dots I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Blue Me Away!, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Lightening and Borghese - Raspberry Sorbetto.

Thanks for looking! I have yet *another* addition to this mani to show you soon!

Sinful Colors Social Ladder

Hello, hello, polish fiends! Today I have the lovely Sinful Colors - Social Ladder to share with you!

Nail Polish Breakdown:
1 coat Orly Bonder rubberized basecoat
4 coats Sinful Colors - Social Ladder
1 coat Poshe fast-drying topcoat

Social Ladder is a very elegant white shimmer with very subtle blue and pink shimmer that's not noticeable in these pictures.

I should have used a white or beige undercoat for Social Ladder, but I didn't think about it before I started painting. I ended up with four coats and then Poshe'd it. The polish dented on my pointer and middle fingers soon after I painted it, but this mani actually lasted for 6 days before the first chip appeared. Crazy awesome wear, even though I wasn't super impressed by the color. It's very elegant, but I think I'm just not a fan of light colors. It is very nice for a professional mani though.

Close up!

So what are your feelings on soft, delicate colors like this one? Love them, hate them, top them with nail art, or wear them for special occasions only (I'm thinking weddings)?

I'm going to post my fun additions to this mani soon. Stay on the lookout for it!

New Stuff for Starlight Radiance

Hello all!

A couple of updates for Starlight Radiance in general... I am trying to expand my reach on social networking sites and have started integrating blog posts into my Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as my new Google+ page and Bloglovin' feed.

Twitter - username SarahStarlight7

Pinterest - I mostly save manis from other blogs for inspiration here. :D

Wibiya toolbar at the bottom! I found this over on the Piece of Pie blog! It's a neat little gadget!

Blog Sales from the nail world and Wish List pages are up top! Hopefully I'll have a stash list up soon too!

Now, I do have a question for you bloggers out there. Is there any easy program to use to link up my blog so that it will simultaneously post to my Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.? Help is appreciated!
